Compatriots of the Western District,

For several years, the Sons of the American Revolution has required those Compatriots who interact with youth to take the BSA Youth Protection (YP) training. However, this training had involved a number of steps – access of external sites, printing and e-mailing of certificates and tracking those training completions. program. To improve efficiency, the SAR had decided to develop an internal YP training program.

This internal training has been implemented and will now allow Compatriots to take the training and have completions automatically recorded. General Officers are now taking the training; it will eventually be required of all individuals interacting with youth.

To set up your account, go to the eLearning portal at https://www.sar.org/courses/youth-protection-training. You will then be able to take the training, which is good for three years.

More information will be forwarded as available.
